FAQ

We’ve gathered the most common questions families ask about Dandylyon Drama programs.
Have a question? Ask us anything!

Q: What happens if a rehearsal is canceled due to snow or other weather?

If school is canceled or released early due to weather, rehearsals will also be canceled. We’ll communicate any updates via email and post on our social media. We do our best to reschedule when possible.

Q: Why do you charge for tickets to performances?

Ticket sales help cover the cost of theater rentals, sets, costumes, tech equipment, and staffing. These costs are not included in tuition and help us ensure a high-quality production for our performers and audiences.

Q: Why do performers wear makeup in some productions?

Stage lighting can wash out facial features, so basic makeup helps performers be visible from the audience. We ask all performers to arrive to the dress rehearsal and performance with simple stage makeup. Our team can assist backstage, and parent volunteers are welcome!

Suggested Stage Makeup Includes:

  • Eyeliner (under eyes for male characters, over eyes for females)
  • Mascara (female characters)
  • Eyebrow darkener (if light brows)
  • Blush (female characters)
  • Lip color or balm (will vary by character)

Q: Do you offer scholarships?

Yes! We are committed to accessibility and offer financial assistance whenever possible. Please reach out to us at registrar@dandylyondrama.org to inquire about scholarships or sliding scale options.

Q: Where can I register for a class or program?

Visit our registration page. You’ll find current offerings, locations, and registration deadlines there.
