DESCRIPTION:The spotlight is on… but something strange is happening backstage! In this mystery-themed theatre class\, students will become both actors and sleuths\, working together to solve a theatrical whodunit. Through character creation\, improvisation\, and scene work\, we’ll build a suspenseful and silly story filled with plot twists and dramatic flair. The caper ends with a showcase performance where our performers reveal what really happened behind the curtain! Parents are encouraged to join us for the final showcase on 12/9 at 4:10pm! Learn theater etiquette\, acting technique\, and gain confidence! Everyone who signs up gets a role\, however everyone must attend one of the audition dates. By signing up for this class you are committing to Mandatory dress rehearsals the week of June 2nd and performances on Friday June 6th at 7pm and Saturday June 7th at 4pm and 7pm at the SCC Theater. Troy\, captain of his schools basketball team meets Gabriella\, self-proclaimed brainiac on winter vacation where they are forced to sing karaoke and are surprised to enjoy it. When Troy finds that Gabriella is a new student at his school\, East High he has to confront the status quo at his school telling him he can only be one dimensional. The drama club president Sharpay Evans and her twin Ryan Evans dont appreciate this change in the status quo and launch a plot to remain in control.
