What We Do At Dandylyon Drama

We offer performing arts education opportunities all year round.  During the school year we work with local schools and in the summer we partner with local organizations to offer high quality and affordable programs that enrich our community.

Bring the Arts into YOUR School today!

There are several ways we can partner with you and your school.

DRAMA CLUBS: After School Drama Enrichment

Drama Clubs are an opportunity for elementary students to dip their toes into the creative waters.  Our teachers will explore theatre through dramatic play, improvisation, games, costumes, props, and at the right challenge level for your student! At the end of each session, the club will make a presentation of what they’ve learned and created together. After School offerings are open to only children who currently attend that school or their siblings.

After School Drama Enrichment classes can be fully sponsored by the PTA or can be partially sponsored by the PTA (PTA provides the space) and a reasonable tuition fee is charged per student with 10 student minimum enrollment.

Don’t have Dandylyon Drama at your school? Contact us and get us connected with your school’s PTA!

SUMMER CAMPS: Continuing Education for Budding Actors

Has your actor caught THEATRE FEVER or want to build on their acting, singing, or dancing skills?  Do they love to make their own plays at home or sing in the shower?   Do they need a safe place to play?  Are they ready for the limelight?  Then one of our many camp offerings is right for your child.

1 WEEK OUTDOOR DRAMA CAMPS:  All the drama we love in the Northwest summer sun and the beauty of the outdoors.  Our teaching artists collaborate with your young actor to create an original play, that culminates in a free performance for family and friends in an outdoor amphitheater.  Ample time is made for creative play and outdoor exploration. (Recommended for ages 3-5 and 5-9.  Great for siblings who want to be close but in age-appropriate groupings.)

1 WEEK PERFORMING ARTS CAMPS: For actors who love to act, create, write, and collaborate but would like a less pressured performance structure.  These camps feature the very best teaching artists who take your student through a creative process, allowing for ample input from each child to create an original performance surrounding a theme.  (Recommended for ages 7-11.)

2 WEEK MUSICAL THEATRE PERFORMANCE CAMPS:  For our more experienced and mature actors these camps have all the acting, music, tech, costumes, and limelight they crave.  Students work with professional directors, musical directors and choreographers.  The two week camps culminate in 2-3 final performances where friends, family, and the community are invited to purchase tickets to see the show. (Recommended for ages 10-18.)

CAMP DANDYLYON: This is our camp specifically for kids with special needs.  Our specially trained teacher and roster or experience volunteers offer one on one support to budding actors.  Visual art, movement, games, music, story telling, and much more.  Each year our actors grow in confidence to express themselves in ways they never thought possible and bring immense joy to the audience of friends and family at the final presentation.
